BOSTON -- Edwin Encarnacion had two homers for the second straight game, and the Toronto Blue Jays beat Boston 6-4 on Wednesday night to send the Red Sox to their sixth consecutive loss. Daimion Stafford Jersey . Encarnacion has seven homers in his last six games. He is the first Toronto player to have four multi-homer games in a month, and the first major-leaguer to do so since Troy Tulowitzki in September of 2010. Drew Hutchison (3-3) allowed one run in 5 1-3 innings for Toronto, which has won seven of its last nine games. The Blue Jays have won three consecutive series. Casey Janssen pitched the ninth for his fifth save. Xander Bogaerts had three hits, including two doubles, for Boston. Clay Buchholz (2-4) allowed four earned runs in 4 2-3 innings. The Red Sox are in the midst of their longest losing streak since dropping the final eight games of the 2012 season, ending the Bobby Valentine era after one year. The Blue Jays made it 4-0 after three innings thanks to Encarnacion, who hit a solo homer in the second and a two-run shot in the third -- both of them into the seats above the Green Monster. Shane Victorino homered for Boston -- his first since a Grand Slam in Game 6 of the AL championship series against the Detroit Tigers -- to make it 4-1. Dioner Navarros RBI single in the fifth made it 5-1 and chased Buchholz. He allowed nine hits and two walks, striking out two. The Blue Jays added another run in the seventh on Anthony Goses RBI single. The Red Sox scored three in the eighth to make it a two-run game thanks partly to back-to-back RBI doubles by Mike Carp and Bogaerts. Brock Holt singled to score Bogaerts before Brett Cecil struck out Grady Sizemore and then Steve Delabar, on his first pitch, retired Dustin Pedroia on a groundout. NOTES: A.J. Pierzynski, who was hitless in 11 straight at-bats, raised his hands to the heavens after singling in sixth inning. He had just two hits in his previous 27 at-bats. Pierzynski wound up with three hits in the game, including one off the first-basemans mitt, in the ninth inning. ... Encarnacion has 15 multi-homer games in his career, four this season. He had been 1 for 21 in his career against Buchholz. ... Buchholz had allowed three earned runs or fewer in three of his previous four starts. ... SS Stephen Drew, who re-signed with the Red Sox on Wednesday after spending the first six weeks of the season as an unsigned free agent, was available to play in an emergency. He was added to the roster in the place of LHP Felix Doubront, who injured his shoulder and went on the disabled list. Tyson Alualu Jersey . After missing 20 games as a rookie a year ago, Valanciunas - like the Raptors as a whole - has been fortunate to be in good health this season. As he spoke about it, the Raptors sophomore centre scanned the room for wood to knock on. "It is disappointing because we lost today so thats the worst part of the day," said Valanciunas, who left Tuesdays game with a lower-back sprain in the third quarter, missing the rest of Torontos 118-113 overtime defeat at the hands of the Hawks. Antonio Brown Jersey . Former two-time Olympic gold medallist Evi Sachenbacher-Stehle tested positive for the stimulant methylhexanamine in both her "A" and "B" samples, the German Olympic Committee said.ST. LOUIS -- Joe Kelly had to fight all night long. He had just enough to lead St. Louis to another big win. Kelly pitched six effective innings, Matt Holliday broke out of a slump with two doubles and the Cardinals beat the Atlanta Braves 6-2 on Thursday. "I didnt have any of my good stuff," said Kelly, who threw 109 pitches. "From pitch one to the last pitch nothing was easy." Kelly (5-3) allowed two runs and seven hits while improving to 5-0 with a 1.79 ERA in his last seven starts. St. Louis improved to 7-1 in Kellys eight starts since he rejoined the rotation on July 6. "We needed a solid outing from him and he was very good," St. Louis manager Mike Matheny said. "He did a nice job for us." The NL East-leading Braves played without Jason Heyward, who is out with a broken right jaw after he was beaned during Wednesdays 4-1 win at the New York Mets. The outfielder had surgery on Thursday in Atlanta and could miss the rest of the regular season. The Braves had at least one batter reach in each of the first five innings, but couldnt come up with a big blow against Kelly, who struck out three and walked two. "He did a good job of keeping us off balance," Atlanta outfielder Justin Upton said. "He threw his fastball in the zone and got the job done." Kelly may not have been pleased with his effort, but his teammates certainly were impressed. "Hes like having a Ferrari in your garage," second baseman Matt Carpenter said. "Hes settling in as a starter and hes running with it. I love it when he goes out there and competes. Hes aggressive and hes pitching with confidence." Upton hit his 24th homer, but the Braves lost for the second time in three games at the start of a six-game trip. Atlanta had won eight of its last nine regular-season games against St. Louis. St. Louis slugger Matt Holliday went 2 for 3 and drove in a run, matching the amount of hits he had during a 2-for-24 slide over his previous six games. Bud Dupree Jersey. He doubled and scored in the fourth, then capped the Cardinals three-run fifth with an RBI double that made it 4-2. David Freese had a run-scoring groundout in the fourth for St. Louis, and then singled in a run in the seventh. Paul Maholm (9-10) came off the disabled list and allowed five runs, four earned, and five hits in 5 1-3 innings for Atlanta. It was the first game for the left-hander since he left a July 20 start at the Chicago White Sox with a bruised left wrist. "It was good to get back out there and compete against a tough lineup," Maholm said. "Hopefully in five days Ill be able to make some adjustments and get back out there." Maholm helped himself with a leadoff single in the fifth. Upton then hit a one-out drive to left-centre for his eighth homer this month, giving Atlanta a 2-1 lead. St. Louis went back in front in the bottom half on consecutive run-scoring doubles by Carpenter, Carlos Beltran and Holliday. Pete Kozma sparked the big inning with a one-out walk. "Getting hits like that in a row, it doesnt happen a lot," Beltran said. "Were concentrating more with guys in scoring position." NOTES: The Cardinals began a string of 17 consecutive games against opponents with winning records. ... St. Louis RHP Jake Westbrook is questionable for his next start Monday with back stiffness. ... INF Elliot Johnson made his first start for the Braves and broke out of an 0-for-31 slump with a second-inning single. He was claimed off waivers from Kansas City on Wednesday. ...
