DARLINGTON, S. http://www.49ersrookiestore.com/49ers-Daniel-Kilgore-Jersey/ .C. -- Chase Elliott hasnt watched any replays of the final restart of the race last Sunday at Michigan International Speedway.Hes not going to put himself through that misery again. He doesnt need to watch to know what happened, how he messed up on the restart with nine laps to go and missed a chance to take his first Sprint Cup win.I got to see it firsthand, Elliott said Saturday, prior to practice at Darlington Raceway. While he will learn from it, the 20-year-old driver has no plans to dwell on it or pout over the fact that?Kyle Larson won the race and celebrated his first career win.I definitely put it behind me, Elliott said. Its done and over with and ... we dont have the ability to rewind time.Your only option is to move on and get on down the road.Elliott wont ignore the mistake in a race he saw slip through his fingers. He just feels that there is nothing gained by replaying it over and over and over in his head. You just have to try to take the positives out of it, recognize an issue when you see one, Elliott said after the race Sunday. Theres only one way to fix it, and thats to hit it head on -- no need of hiding from it, just try to fix it.Hope you have more opportunities to improve and to show that you can do it down the road. The hard part for Elliott is he cant practice a restart. Sure, he could drive around a parking lot, maybe, and start and stop. But in reality, he just needs to lead more races or start right behind leaders and see what they do.Youre not going to recreate those scenarios, what the people around you are thinking like when one of these Cup races are on the line, Elliott said last week. Thats just a part of life, man.You do have to put yourself in those situations more often to see how youre going to handle them and how you can fix them moving forward. The second-place finish still brought benefits. The Hendrick Motorsports driver appears solidly in the Chase for the Sprint Cup as the top driver among the winless. But to have a season he would deem successful, Elliott would like to have a win. He comes to Darlington with some winning history -- he won his first-ever race at the track in the Xfinity event in April 2014.Elliott indicated it didnt really matter if he was back in the car at Darlington or Rockingham or Charlotte or Daytona -- just getting back to work after Sunday will help put that final restart behind him.Its good just to get back to the race track in general, Elliott said. Its hard to believe its been [more than] two years since that Xfinity win here. ... Time has gone by really fast, but I dont know what a win two years ago does for you, other than just having the extra laps. Its good to be back at the race track regardless, and just to kind of get back in the swing of things and get going I feel like is the biggest piece of that.Of course, Elliott said all of this in a fairly businesslike tone. Its the approach that has served him well, even though it has brought him a reputation of being too hard on himself.I have my own way of going about things and my own way about going about my job, Elliott said. I think we all do.Im going to respect everybody elses [opinion] and you hope you get that respect back. http://www.49ersrookiestore.com/49ers-George-Kittle-Jersey/ . Kyle Denbrook, a soccer player from Saint Marys University, took the CIS male athlete of the week honour. Stanley, a fourth-year business administration student from Charlottetown, scored both goals in a 2-0 win over Dalhousie on Friday and tallied again in a 1-0 win over Saint Marys on Sunday. http://www.49ersrookiestore.com/49ers-Pierre-Garcon-Jersey/ . The 29-year-old Baines has established himself as one of the top attacking full backs in the country and was the subject of two bids from United during the last off-season. Everton manager Roberto Martinez says that keeping Baines at the club is a "massive boost and exciting for the future" because he brings "maturity and football knowledge in a very specialized position on the pitch" and an "infectious and positive influence to the rest of the squad. http://www.49ersrookiestore.com/49ers-Terrell-Owens-Jersey/ .C. -- Kemba Walker and the Charlotte Bobcats got off to a fast start, and the Sacramento Kings were never quite able to catch up. SALT LAKE CITY -- Disaster has struck for No. 21 Utah.Thats how coach Kyle Whittingham described the running back situation after the position was hit by injury yet again.Starting running back Armand Shyne is done for the season after suffering an injury to his right leg during the 36-23 win over Arizona on Saturday. Shyne was promoted to starter last week and went down immediately after becoming the first Utes back to rush for 100 yards in a game this season. He finished with 101 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries.Shyne will miss the spring session, also. The sophomore was the fourth Utah running back to go down this season, and he wasnt the only one Saturday. Junior Jordan Howard became No. 5 after making his debut at running back following Shynes injury. Whittingham didnt specify the injury, but Howard cannot play this week against Oregon State.Game 1 starter Joe Williams retired after two games due to injuries. Were down to our sixth running back now, I guess you could say, Whittingham said. Its been a little bit of a mystery this year as far as the injuries. But you just deal with it and move on. Well figure it out. Dont have an answer for you right now. We will have answer very soon.Where that answer will come from may be more of a mystery. Freshman Zack Moss will be a game-time decision after missing the last game and junior Troy McCormick also missed last week. Shyne, Moss, McCormick and Williams have combined for 88.2 percent of Utahs rushing yards this season.Whittingham said theyre exploring all options. The coaching staff is considering a position switch for someone who has previous experience at running back in high school or junior college. Reaching out to Williams to see if he could un-retire is even on the table. The play-calling is likely to be affected, also. That will come into play as well, Whittingham said. Maybe more the quarterback-run game as well. We just have to look for any and all answers because right now its a pretty desperate situation at running back.Moss is listed atop the depth chart this week, buut theres no certainty that hell be available. http://www.49ersrookiestore.com/49ers-Bradley-Pinion-Jersey/. Redshirt freshman Marcel Manalo is listed as No. 2, but last game was his first career action and he still hasnt had a carry. Freshman Devontae Henry-Cole will get practice reps this week as coaches decide whether to pull his planned redshirt. When youre in redshirt mode, if disaster strikes, which disaster has struck, then youve got to re-think things, Whittingham said.Quarterback Troy Williams knows some of the offensive load could be shifted to his arms, and maybe his legs. The Utes are historically a run-first team and have 262 rushing attempts compared to 198 pass attempts. That could start to skew in the other direction. Troy Williams was ranked by Rivals.com as the No. 1 dual-threat quarterback in the nation coming out of high school in 2013, so Utah could utilize his mobility more than in previous games. He has 92 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 41 carries this season.Im willing to do whatever it takes to help my team win games, he said. If that means I have to run the ball more, then so be it. I have no problem taking on that role. We may have to make a couple of tweaks here and there, but Im sure well stick with what has been working all season. ... We just have to do a little more as an offense, period.Injuries to the backs arent the only challenges for the run game. Center J.J. Dielman, a three-year starter, was lost for the season two weeks ago and backup Lo Falemaka was unable to play against Arizona because of a leg injury. Senior Nick Nowakowski got the start. The Utes have also lost defensive end Kylie Fitts and tight end Siale Fakailoatonga to injuries. Other starters on the defensive line, in the secondary and at receiver have also missed games due to injury.Worst I can remember, Whittingham said. Ive been in it a lot of years and I cannot remember a year with this many injuries. The sheer amount of injures that weve had.
